We are entering our 9th year of operation; looking back when we started with 12 units (Francis Court I) to where we are at now with 4 additional units (Francis Court II) and 10 beds for veterans (House of Cornelius). I am excited for the future of FaithWORKs. Our newest endeavor is Francis Court III which will be directly across from Francis Court II. With the help from City of Redding predevelopment funding we have been able to have Pace Engineering start the surveying and Kibler and Kibler Architect and Engineering start the architectural planning. The next step of course is locating funding to build. With over one hundred homeless families with children on the wait list. Francis Court III will have enough room to house an additional 8 families with children.
Every year that passes, I am more proud and amazed by the dedicated staff, the supporters, the volunteers and the donors everyone that makes the program successful. We have so many generous people and churches that not only donate monetarily but others who donate time and labor. Sometimes a kind word or helping hand for our families and veterans means the world.
